A movie based word-for-word on the Good News Bible or also know as "Good News for Modern Man," "Today's English Version" and "Good News Translation" (GNT). Turn on CC or follow in your native language translation Bible. There are free apps online as well. My favorite for Android which has this translation is the Offline Bible (Reader Only). Download the Good News Translation (GNT).

They also have a free app from ITunes and Google Play store called The Bible App

You can use these free resource to practice English, and learn about the life of Jesus of Nazareth from the eyewitness account of His disciple John. Each lesson can be from a chapter from the Gospel of John.

Why Learn English With The Bible?

The Bible is the number one best seller of all times according to Guinness. It has been translated into more than 2000 languages and dialects. In major languages such as Chinese, English and Spanish there are usually several versions to choose from. This is helpful in learning English because there are software apps and web tools in which you can view whole chapters in parallel using your native language and English.
The Bible has influenced our world more than any other book. The word Bible in English comes from the Latin “biblia” which means “book.”
To be truly educated in this modern world one should at least have some basic knowledge of the Bible’s contents as well as the men who wrote them.
Written over a period of 1,600 years by at least forty different authors its contents are considered by Christians to be inspired by God. The author’s who wrote this book were directed by Him in their thoughts and ideas.
 So in summary, not only can you learn English from this Book, but in addition, you can also be acquainted with one the greatest books ever written.
